PATANJALI GENTLE YOGA FOR WOMEN

A drop-in class with coupons for you who want the flexibility and - maybe - cannot join every week. You are of course more than welcome to join every Wednesday if this is what you need. Focus is on the the wonderful, deep stretches and our breathing, and we use props where it makes sense.
DKK 750.00 for 10 clips and DKK 1.350,00 for 20 clips. The coupon card is personal and cannot be transferred to someone else after purchase. 
From 18.30 – 20.00 every Wednesday from 12 January to 22 June and from 14 September – 7 December 2022.

PATANJALI YOGA IN TØNDER

Flexibility, energy, calmness and strength with yoga. This class is in Tønder, in the gym hall of FysioDanmark, Fabriksvej 9, 6270 Tønder. The type of yoga being taught here is Patanjali Yoga, which is built on BKS Iyengar's yoga principles - a dynamic body training system including both body and mind with  with emphasis on strength and flexibility especially in legs, back and shoulders, posture and body awareness. Our breathing is used actively in the exercises and we always end the class with a total relaxation of the nervous system. Classes start again on 5 September and continue until 28 November, a total of 12 times (2 x DKK 450.00), from 18.00 - 19.30. YOGA NIDRA

Yoga Nidra can be translated as yogic sleep. It is a de-stressing, guided meditation technique that is more than a 1000 years old. Yoga Nidra is originally from India. During the 20th century is has become increasingly popular in the West - once you have tried it, you will understand why. Although Yoga Nidra can be translated as yogic sleep it does not mean that you are actually sleeping. However, studies have shown that approx. 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra equals 3-4 hours of sleep; your body relaxes, your brain waves slow down, corresponding to those we experience during deep sleep and meditation. You put your aside, stop doing and you simply are. Yoga Nidra contains an opportunity to sow a seed in your mind, an intention - a positive starting point. SUMMER YOGA IN MY GARDEN

Approx. 1 hour of summer yoga in my garden in Øster Højst (if the weather is really bad, we will move inside, into Yogaværkstedet).
Price per class: DKK 75,00, max. 8 participants. Bring your own yoga mat and blanket/towel.

Yoga at a quiet pace, with nicel stretches and focus on building strength and being able to keep our balance. We use props to work with the connective tissue. Max. 8 students. YOGA ON HJERPSTED STRAND/BEACH

The beach near Hjerpsted has been one of my favourite beaches since childhood. It is a very special place. It embraces us, it is cozy and intimate, it is QUIET. No cars, only few people.
And in the middle of this wonderfulness, on the shores of the Wadden Sea in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, we do yoga when the weather is good. We try to coordinate with the times of sunset so that we can enjoy this together, in peace. Bring your own mat and blanket - and multiple layers of clothing so that you can lie warm and snug during the relaxation. Registration via SMS on 2373 1055. WEEKEND YOGA WORKOUT

YOGA AT TØNDER FESTIVAL

Since 2018, my voluntary contribution to Tønder Festival has been Yoga in The Marsh/Yoga i Marsken. Give yourself a great start of the day and sharpen your senses with yoga so that you are ready for the musical input of the day. One hour in great company of the close nature in the festival area where you will be guided through various exercises in approx. one hour so that the body and senses are awaken quietly. We wrap up the class with deep relaxation.
Class is taught in Danish, English and Southern Jutlandish, depending on audience, and it takes place outdoor inside the festival area so you need a ticket to the festival to participate. Remember to bring your own mat - and to ask for SUNSHINE!


YOGA FOR MEN

Originally, yoga was only practiced by men, so if you think yoga is only for women you are wrong. This course will give you an introduction to yoga that - hopefully - can help you start a practice at home; you will become more flexible and stronger. No matter what shape and age, it is never too late to work with your flexibility. When you are new to yoga, it can seem overwhelming to have to start with these (apparently) painful and strange yoga poses. That is why we take our time to get both in and out of the poses. Breathing plays a huge role - also in yoga, and working consciously with the breath gives us renewed energy and calms the nervous system, and through various exercises and techniques it can have a direct impact on how you feel mentally and physically. That is why we strive to stay in the exercises - without coming to a halt. Keep an eye on this site and Facebook or Instagram for dates. Max. 6 men in this class. Should you not be able to join after all, you are welcome to give or sell your space to someone else. Should the course get cancelled, you will be refunded with the full amount.

YOGAVÆRKSTEDET'S EYE PADS

Let your eyes relax with an eyepad from Yogaværkstedet, made with upcycled fabrics, preferably organic and as sustainable as possible. The eyepad containts organic flaxseeds and dried lavenders, hand-picked in a garden in Switzerland. Lavender is a ancient medicin plant know mostly for its calming effects. The eye pad's combination of soft pressure on the eyes and the smell of lavender thus enhances the relaxation after yoga and during meditation. 
Inner cushion: 100% organic cotton, stuffing: Organic flaxseeds and lavender. Outer fabric: Various material (see leaflet). The outer fabric can be hand wahesd at mas. 40⁰ C, the inner cushion cannot be wahes. The price for these eyepads are DKK 80.00 per eyepad. Can only be bought during a visit to Yogaværkstedet.


PRACTICALITIES

Equipment: All yoga equipment is available at the Yogaværkstedet but should you prefer to bring and use your own equipment then please do so.. 
Clothing: Comfortable clothes that allow you to move and bare feet - no shoes.
Food and drink You should not eat a full meal up to approx. 3 hours before doing yoga (snacks only up to one hour before you), as it can be uncomfortable to work with some yoga poses with a stomac full of food..
Turn off your mobile: Or leave it a home while joining yoga. Please arrive approx. 5 ahead of class start.
Injuries etc.: If you have some injuries or conditions that I should know of, please let me know before we get started. We will make sure to be mindful of this and use props where it makes sense and helps you get into and be in the yoga pose. Remember to listen to and respect the signals of your body.
Healthy feet: We do yoga with bare feet, so make sure your feet are healthy and free from verrucas and athlete's foot.
